About Patterson Dilthey, LLP
Patterson Dilthey, LLP, traces its roots to the late 1940’s when its founding members, J. Melville Broughton (a former United States Senator and Governor of the State of North Carolina), C. Woodrow Teague and I. Edward Johnson began practicing insurance defense law, becoming one of the first firms in North Carolina to do so.
The firm has evolved and added several other practice areas since that time. Today, the firm’s practice includes professional malpractice defense, commercial litigation, products and premises liability, construction law, insurance coverage and bad faith defense, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and appellate practice.
The firm’s lawyers draw on a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds to compliment their legal practices. Our attorneys are extensively trained and are well known for being leading experts in the continually evolving legal fields in which we practice. Several of our attorneys teach both workers’ compensation and general liability law in various forums.
Patterson Dilthey, LLP, is especially proud of its reputation among the Bar and the judiciary for its ethics, professionalism and character. The firm credits its reputation to teamwork, attention to detail, willingness to work long hours, and thorough preparation. Dedicated to providing its clients with the highest quality representation, this firm is proud of its heritage and excited about its future.
